KEURIG WINTER SPICE LATTE

This winter spice latte is full of holiday cheer! Perfect for sipping while you decorate the tree or serving at the holiday gathering.

Fresh coffee, hot milk and mulling spices come together to create the perfect holiday coffee drink. The recipe is easy and quick:

KEURIG WINTER SPICE LATTE

Ingredients:
1 k-cup of your choice (or 1/2 cup freshly brewed coffee)
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
a pinch of each: ground cloves, nutmeg, and orange zest
1 teaspoon brown sugar

Directions:
In a small saucepan, combine milk, spices and brown sugar. Whisk vigorously to make the froth and heat the mixture on medium-high until it is steaming and fragrant, whisking occasionally.

Brew 1 k-cup at the smallest cup setting (4 oz, or 6 oz if you don’t have this option) and slowly pour milk mixture over the coffee. Taste and add/ adjust seasonings or sugar if needed.

Makes 1 serving.

Choose the perfect k-cup: While just about any k-cup will work for this recipe, I suggest using medium or dark roasted k-cup.

Don’t be afraid to substitute: Feel free to tweak the seasonings as you’d like – you can add ginger, allspice or star anise. To make this vegan/ dairy-free, replace regular milk with your favorite dairy-free milk option, like almond or coconut milk. If using dairy-free milk, slowly heat the milk over low-medium heat and don’t heat it too much.

Keurig K-cafe: If you have Keurig K-Cafe model, pour cold milk into the frother, add spices and press Latte option. Brew one k-cup using a Shot button, add sugar and slowly add frothed milk while stirring.

Happiest holidays and Merry Christmas to all of you!
