How to Make Irish Coffee

Making really good Irish coffee at home is possible.

how to make irish coffee
Irish coffee is traditionally made by combining coffee, brown sugar, Irish whiskey and whipped cream. Deliciousness. Let’s start:

IRISH COFFEE RECIPE

Ingredients:
1 cup freshly brewed coffee
1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
2 teaspoons brown sugar
lightly whipped cream

Directions:
While the coffee is brewing, preheat the glass with hot water. Discard the water. Place 2 teaspoons brown sugar into a glass and add coffee. Stir until completely dissolved. Pour in 1 shot whiskey. To finish, slowly pour lightly whipped cream over the back of a spoon to make a top layer. Do not stir. Serve hot.

Options?! I often reach for Bailey’s Irish cream liqueur. You can also use Irish cream coffee creamer and make it alcohol-free.

Enjoy!
