While you can brew mocha flavored k cup and call it a day, this recipe is extra special and much creamier than the store-bought stuff. It’s ready in no time and you can use any of your favorite regular k cups for this recipe. This recipe is also versatile and you can easily make it dairy-free or add extra flavors.
How to make a mocha with Keurig? Start by brewing one regular k cup. Warm up the milk and make the chocolate “base” with cocoa powder, chocolate chips, or chocolate sauce, whatever you prefer. Mix everything together and sugar to taste. That’s it!
KEURIG MOCHA RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 regular k cup, preferably dark roast
1/2 cup milk, heated
1 teaspoon cocoa powder, or 2-3 tablespoons chocolate sauce or chips
sugar, optional
whipped cream for garnish
Directions:
Heat the milk until steaming and stir in cocoa powder, chocolate sauce, or chocolate chips. Whisk together until smooth and frothy.
Place a cup with milk in place to brew, and brew 1 k cup at the smallest cup setting. The 4-ounce is ideal but you can also use the 6-ounce option.
Stir well and sugar to taste. Garnish with whipped cream or marshmallows.
Pro tip: To make your chocolate mocha really creamy, use 2% or whole milk.
