Here it is, by popular request! A healthy, dairy-free and paleo version of a latte. This is the simplest of almond lattes and it’s so good.
ALMOND MILK LATTE
Ingredients:
for regular coffee:
1/2 cup coffee
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
sweetener of your choice (Stevia, honey, pure maple syrup), to taste
for espresso:
2 ounces espresso (a double shot)
6 unsweetened almond milk
sweetener, to taste
Directions:
Make coffee/ espresso and set aside. Froth the milk, or heat the milk until warm (not steaming) and whisk until frothy using a small whisk or a fork. Slowly add frothed milk to your coffee. Sweeten to taste – use honey, Stevia or your favorite sweetener.
This latte is good simple and straight, but you can get a little crazy with flavors. Add a few drops of vanilla extract, a pinch of cinnamon or maybe one to two tablespoons of some nice homemade dairy-free caramel sauce.
Enjoy!
