Time for a new recipe!
I really like Irish coffee and so far I’ve tried and tested many different recipes.
Some were asking for too many ingredients, some were easy to make, some really tasty and some just… well, let’s just say they weren’t really tasty. And after all the successes and failures with my Irish coffee creations, I found three ways of making Irish coffee I can use to make it enjoyable for my friends or myself.
First version is the traditional Irish coffee with whiskey.
Second, and by far my favorite, is Irish coffee with Bailey’s Original Irish Cream liquor. I recommend this one if you don’t like whiskey (I don’t).
And last but not least, an “everyday version”, made with Irish cream coffee creamer. Both, International Delight and Nestle’s Coffee-mate make them. You can get a bottled one, or creamer singles, any will work just fine.
So, how to make Irish coffee at home?! You will need just 4 ingredients and not more than 5 min. Easy peasy.
SIMPLE IRISH COFFEE RECIPE
1. Combine sugar & coffee in a mug stir until all the sugar is dissolved.
2. Add 1 oz whiskey – that’s 1.5 oz if you’re using liquor or 2 tbsp if you’re using creamer and stir.
3. Leave to settle for few minutes & garnish with whipped cream.
That’s it! Now, just grab that book you’re reading (or your iPhone) and enjoy…because…
