A super quick snack with all the flavors of coffee and good, dark chocolate. Or white chocolate…
Since so many of you requested, here is the recipe for the chocolate covered coffee beans. I’m not really a fan, but some people LOVE the stuff why, potentially, this can make a great homemade gift. And, this is the simplest version of chocolate covered coffee beans I know. Enjoy!
5 ounces (150 grams) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (or 1 cup good chocolate chips)
1/2 cup coffee beans
Coarsely chop the chocolate. In a small saucepan (microwave, or a double boiler) melt the chocolate, stirring occasionally until smooth. Now, choose one of the methods:
1. add all coffee beans at once into the chocolate and stir. Using a fork, get out the beans, one by one and put them on a baking sheet or a kitchen foil.
2. or, spread coffee beans on a baking sheet, fill up a piping bag with chocolate (or a zip-lock bag with a tiny corner cut off) and drizzle over the beans. simple and clean.
Refrigerate the beans on the baking sheet until the chocolate is firm (approximately 30 minutes).
They are so simple to make. You can put them in a cellophane bag & tie with a ribbon, or make those cute mason jar gifts.
Have a gorgeous week!!
